Privacy policy

Unleashed Operations (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us. Depending on how you use the site, this may include:

• Friction Factor survey — your answers to the twenty survey questions, your name and email address, and (if you choose to provide them) your organisation, sector, management structure and job role. Name, email and consent are required to generate and send your result; the other details are optional and used only to improve the accuracy of our benchmarking.
• Contact and healthcheck request forms — your name, email address, and any organisation details or message you send us.

We do not collect payment information through this website. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Why we collect it, and how we use it

We use your information to:

• generate your Friction Factor result and email you a copy;
• respond to your enquiry or healthcheck request;
• build de-identified, aggregate benchmarking insight about decision friction across sectors (see “How long we keep it” below);
• contact you about your result, but only where you have consented to being contacted.

We will not use your information for any purpose you would not reasonably expect, and we will not send you marketing you did not ask for.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

To run this website and its services, we use a small number of trusted third-party providers who process data on our behalf. Your information may be stored or handled by:

• Supabase — secure database hosting for survey responses and contact details;
• Resend — email delivery, used to send your result and our reply;
• our website hosting provider — to serve the site itself.

These providers may store data outside New Zealand. We only use providers that offer comparable privacy safeguards to those required under the Privacy Act 2020.

How long we keep it

• Survey answers and computed scores are retained indefinitely in de-identified form (with your name, email and organisation removed). Once de-identified this is no longer personal information — it is aggregate insight used to understand patterns across sectors.
• Your personal contact details (name, email, organisation) are retained for up to 24 months from your last interaction with us, after which they are anonymised.

You can ask us to delete your personal details sooner — see “Your rights” below.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not use tracking or advertising cookies, and does not run third-party analytics. Any cookies used are strictly necessary for the site to function.

How we protect it

Access to your personal information is restricted and protected. Survey and contact data is held in a secured database that is not publicly accessible, and is only reachable through protected server-side access. We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure or alteration.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you;
• request correction of any information that is wrong or out of date;
• ask us to delete your personal contact details.

To exercise any of these rights, email conan@unleashedoperations.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days, as required by the Act.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can contact us directly, or raise a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz), New Zealand’s independent privacy regulator.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will always show the current version.
